The Philippines is one country which is so much affected in terms of calamities such as typhoon.If the citizens will have proper knowledge on the things to be done in order to be safe in times of typhoon,then the number of death and accident people will be avoided.
In a recently presentation of JICA programs in Makati,Mr. Toshiyuki Iwama,JICA Executive Technical Advisor to the Director General,Infrastructure and Peace Building Department presented their objectives and approach on how to build more safety and improved living environment.One interesting story in the presentation is about the outcome of their works like school buildings and fish cages which are not destroyed during the typhoon yolanda.
The said agency has really the expertise in helping people in order to stay safe and their properties in times of typhoon and other calamities.Their operation in the Philippines is such a great help in times of calamities.Regarding their management,they are capable in doing research and proper action in their projects in order that the outcome will be successful.
The lessons being emphasized by the speakers from the different agencies like DILG,NEDA,OPARR,CDRRMO Tacloban City and TESDA are beneficial to all the participants in order that the material support to the community of Guian,Basey,Tacloban,Palo and Tanauan will restore the place as one producer of agro-fishery products in the Philippines.
