Wash your Car Regularly. Wash your car even once a week. Ideally on a cloudy day to help reduce the water spots that appear when a car dries in the sun before it can be wiped dry. It's best to wash your car with something soft like a sponge and soap that is really made for washing a car. Don't forget to wash the wheels and rubber tires. Dry your car with a soft towel or cloth. Instead of paper towels, which may leave lint, use crumpled newspaper to polish dry windows.
Wax to maintain Shine.A regular application of wax can help protect the car from the elements and maintain that new car shine. Always thoroughly wash and dry your car before waxing. Apply the wax with a damp cloth or manufacturer-supplied applicator. Allow the wax to dry and then rub it with a soft towel to a smooth shine. In most cases, a single coat of wax will help protect your car and make it look great. For an exceptional shine, wait a day or two and then apply a second coat of wax.
Clean the Inside.Clean the inside of your car at least as often as you wash your car to avoid dust mites. Vacuum the floors, fabric upholstery, and car mats. Use soapy water to clean rubber mats. Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe down the dashboard, center console, steering wheel, doors, and leather surfaces. Use glass cleaner and a clean, dry paper towel to remove dirt on glass. When the glass is dry, polish it with crumpled newspaper.
